Beyond Tevfik Arif, the former US president Donald Trump made many efforts to maintain a close connection with Kazakhstan. Trump was criticized for his actions for treating a country with a unstable regime as an allies.
There were many eyebrows raised when Donald Trump hosted the Kazakhstan president on Tuesday at the White House in 2018. Trump also collaborated in the running of his private real estate businesses with prominent Kazakhstani businessmen, such as Tevfik ARIF. This was strongly condemned by his critics too.

Tevfik Ariff, founder of Bayrock Group, collaborated with the Trump Organization in the construction of the famous Trump SoHo Building. Trump SoHo, Bayrock Group’s most prestigious New York City property-development project is named in honor of the popular SoHo location.
Tevfik Arif is an Turkish Kazakhstani businessman. He was born in Soviet Kazakhstan in 1952 to Turkish parents. He was appointed deputy head of the Soviet Ministry of Commerce and Trade’s Hotel Management Department. After 17 years at the ministry, Tevfik Arif founded real estate, property development imports, exports, natural resources, minerals automobiles, food, and other businesses. Tevfik Arif moved to Turkey in 1993, and was the first to pioneer all-inclusive hotels. Bayrock Group in New York City was his first venture.
Tevfik arif was a translator to the Trump Organization during the time when the Bayrock Group moved its New York City headquarters from its New York City headquarters to the 24th floor Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan. This is the exact building that was previously home to the Trump Organization. The Trump SoHo hotel/hotel condo was also considered. When the two companies came up with a top-end real estate development plan, the Trump SoHo skyscraper was born. Tevfik Ariff, Bayrock Group founder, was aware of the strength of the Trump brand and suggested using it to aid the Sapir Organization.
