Malaysia and China to collaborate in creating Covid19 vaccine

The Foreign Minister of Malaysia is reporting that the country will collaborate with China of their analysis to create a Malaysian Covid-19 vaccine. The minister reported the partnership between China and Malaysia as a half of the country’s National Vaccine Development Roadmap.
The Prime Minister of Malaysia Ismail Sabri Yaakob just lately announced the country’s roadmap plans to bolster confidence in vaccines amongst the public whereas positioning Malaysia as a vaccine production hub, not just for Covid-19 but for any future viruses or pandemics that afflict the Southeast Asia region.
Malaysian Foreign Minister Saifuddin Abdullah held a shared press conference with his counterpart in China, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi, where they made headlines discussing maintaining the peace in the South China Sea region, but in addition discussed the vaccine research cooperation plan by which the 2 countries will partner.
“Malaysia welcomes prominent vaccine firms from China to arrange their manufacturing plants in Malaysia which embrace data analysis and R&D [research and development] centres.”
The two officers held the press conference after co-hosting the newly created Malaysia-China High-Level Committee on Cooperation in the post-Covid-19 era that happened in China’s Zhejiang province although officials participated from Malaysia through videolink.
