Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrades can sometimes increase the performance of a piece of equipment and at times even add additional features. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements, and the amount of random enhancements applied.
For example, the elite shield of racial violence Razortail is often upgraded to enhance its lightning absorb function in PvP or to provide additional defenses to missile-based designs in PvM. This makes it more exchangeable than the un-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens allow you to roll a purchased item such as a weapon, armor or ring. This allows you to swap the item for another similar one with an additional set of bonuses. Reroll tokens are a cost-effective method of upgrading gear. However, they don't retain the same level as the original item and any resources wasted will not be refunded.
The survivors can acquire reroll tokens through several means, including from the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in crates and chests or bought from the market for 150k each. Reroll tokens are used to alter the attribute of a piece equipment, for example increasing its damage.
Players can reroll their equipment in three attributes three categories: physical power, magic power and health. Upgrades to physical power boost the damage of melee and weapons attack and spell power increase the damage of mage attacks and ring. Health upgrades provide the player with additional health.
There are three kinds of Reroll tokens: upgrade, rare, and legendary. Each upgrade elevates an item to a higher quality, with the requirement of a higher-level reroll token in order to make it. Upgrades require a common item. Rare upgrades require items that are either exclusive or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.
The reroll marker, unlike other special tokens or markers placed on action spaces, remains on the space until the next success is being rerolled. This is a way to prevent the waste of upgrades.
Blueprints appear as envelopes at the start of each Preparation Phase and can be opened by grabbing them with Interact. When they are opened, they show a description and icon for the Appliance or Ingredient. The restaurant's store will exchange blueprints for a new appliance or ingredient for a small amount.
In the end, you can move blueprints between the Staple Pool (which is the default pool) and the Non-staple Pool when you run. This affects which blueprints the restaurant's shop has available for rerolls and which are available in the Non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
Weapons such as armor, weapons, and other accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones that boost the level of an item by increasing its stats or characteristics. These items can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the major towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell them for a fee. These stones can also be obtained by players who have completed daily contracts.
To upgrade equipment players must first locate the item then click the "level up button". This will show a list of the item's current level and what it will become after being upgraded. It will also show the amount of Growth Stones needed to accomplish this. The amount of Growth Stones needed to upgrade a piece depends on its rarity. Most often rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, while uncommon armor requires a single blue or green Growth Stone.
After deciding on the item to upgrade the player has to select the number of Growth Stones that they want to purchase and pay the cost. When the requirements are fulfilled, the player may then click the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. This will increase the item's level by a specific percentage. The upgrade process can last from a few seconds to several minutes, based on the rarity of the item.
The upgrade process is also risk-free and doesn't affect the item's durability. It's a great way for players who wish to gain an advantage in battle but don't want to burden their wallets. Clicking on the "transfer tab", players can also transfer the experience and progress of an upgraded item to a new piece of gear.
New players may find it difficult to acquire Growth Stones. However, there are many ways to acquire them, including contract completion and purchasing them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, obtaining them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or getting them from the reward chests of the Ancient Arena season. Additionally players can cut down higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.
Leveling
Leveling is an optional feature that allows players to increase the base stats of weapons, armor, helms, and trinkets. The Upgrade Station lets you combine an item with upgrade materials and also pay a cost in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The process will consume upgrade components and grant the item an upgrade level, giving the item a boost in that particular area. This process can be repeated until the highest level for an item is attained.
Items that have upgraded stats will display a blue icon beside their slot. Unlike enchantments, however, upgrade components cannot be stacked against each other, and can only be added to one item at one time. Additionally item upgrader will require a specific number of items to be added and an appropriate level for the equipment.
The Upgrade Station comes with two slots: the left one is where players can put in equipment that needs that they wish to upgrade, and the right side shows a glimpse of what the gear will look like once it is at its next level. When a player has enough materials by pressing the yellow arrow, it will start the upgrade process.
A piece of gear can be upgraded up to five times. Each upgrade, the base stats of the item will be increased by only a tiny amount. The highest level for an item is 19.
When an item reaches its maximum level, its upgrades will no longer be available to it. Also, when an item is on a certain upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer), upgrades for that track will come with a discount.
Upgrade components are a type of equipment that is able to be inserted into weapons, armors trinkets, gathering tools and other trinkets to give an additional benefit or bonus when the equipment is in use. They can be bought from vendors, looted or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, but doing so could destroy the previous upgrade, with the exception of for glyphs that can be removed and replaced at will.
Requirements
Upgrades to items allow players to increase the stats of certain armors and weapons they already have. The requirements for upgrading an item will vary based on the item type however, generally you'll require Dilithium as well as a few Upgrade Tokens (various options available).
Item upgrade components can be incorporated into equipment set pieces or weapons to provide added effects or a higher quality item. These upgrades can come from a variety of sources, including crafting, buying from the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting during bosses and raids. Once an upgrade element is added to an item, it cannot be removed and replaced freely, however, glyphs placed in gathering tools can be swapped without limitation.
Upgrading an item can increase its Mark Level and/or Rarity. Additionally, some upgrade components come with additional modifiers that could further enhance the stats of the item.
The helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun", for instance, increases defense base and gives an additional 20% chance to block. In addition, the dps upgrade "Wildfire" increases damage to weapons.
Some items benefit from upgrading not so much for their improved stats, but for the fact that it allows players to get the maximum amount of value out of a perfect roll on the item. For instance, a flawlessly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community and can be worth 20-50 times the value of the unupp'd version.
When you select an upgrade component to be inserted into an item the game will display a pop-up window that shows the necessary requirements. These include the item type (either weapon or armor) and the tier of the item, the Upgrade Token needed, and the amount of progress required to complete the upgrade.
The game will put an item in your inventory after you have completed the prerequisites for an upgrade. The progress bar will update to show you how far you are to finishing the upgrade. You can also track the status of an item upgrade by visiting any NPC that upgrades items.
