Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components
An upgrade item is a special item that makes certain Pokemon develop. The upgrade can be obtained by spinning a PokeStop's picture disc and is sometimes offered as a reward during Pokemon GO events.
Upgrades can be applied to armors, weapons trinkets, weapons, as well as gathering tools in order to raise their item level. The upgrade costs Flightstones and crests, depending on the type of item.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armors, trinkets and gathering tools to provide attributes bonuses or other effects while the equipment being used. Upgrade components can only be used on equipment that has an upgrade slot available. The majority of upgrade components require that the item being upgraded is above a certain level. Certain upgrade items come with special effects that appear when they are used. Upgrade components can be obtained through crafting, bought by Karma merchants or traded with other players through the Trading Post. They can also be salvaged from equipment and used as rewards.
There are different upgrade components, each with a different bonus. Universal upgrades, which include gems and inscriptions, can be used in any type of equipment, and offer smaller bonuses than other types of upgrade components. Infusions are used in non-amulet equipment that is ascended and legendary equipment, while enrichments are utilized for certain items that have been ascended. Most upgrade components can be replaced if they are slotted into an item, however doing so destroys the previous upgrade. The only exceptions are glyphs, that can only be placed into gathering tools, and enchantments. Both are able to be removed and replaced.
Insignias Enchantments, insignias, and prefix/suffix upgrades will be displayed in the hover display of the item, and they will be added to the equipment's name (e.g. the word Radiant Insignia would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The number of upgrades that are added to an equipment piece will be displayed in the tooltip for the item.
Glyphs
Glyphs are special characters that can be inserted into an OpenType font to add decorative or functional elements, like ligatures, fractions, ornaments, swashes, registered trademark symbols and ellipses. The Glyphs panel allows you to view and insert these special characters along with standard glyphs such as em dashes and en dieshes registered trademark symbols, as well as glyphs that don't appear in other fonts (such as dingbats).
Each Glyph gives an initial boost in stats for the character. The glyph may also include up to four secondary stats which will influence its radius on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a percentage increase that is multiplied by additional bonuses, excluding Speed Glyphs that directly increase the speed of the hero.
The Glyphs in your inventory can be activated by selecting them, and then clicking the "enchant" button. This will open a new window showing the Glyphs you own that can be applied to the selected item. You can only apply the correct Glyph to the item you have selected. Every weapon or armor piece has its own collection of Glyphs.
You can increase the level of Glyphs by working through Tree of Whisper Quests or Nightmare Dungeons. The more difficult the dungeon, the greater the amount of Glyph experience you'll gain. Once a Glyph is at level 15, it can be upgraded by the Glyph Upgrade Altar. Upgrades to a Glyph increases its radius on the Paragon Board by one node every 15 levels.
Once a Glyph has reached the desired level, it is possible to activate it. Select it and click the "enchant button". The resulting glyph will offer its stated bonus and will also boost all the other nodes in its range on the Paragon Board. It's crucial to place glyphs in the best locations to benefit your build, and that is why it's beneficial to prioritize Magic Glyphs early on. Some glyphs, however, may offer dual bonuses if certain conditions are satisfied and therefore are worth checking out for.
Click the cycle widget to alter the view of the Glyphs Panel. Each of these views displays the Glyphs using a different font. You can narrow the selection of glyphs further using an option under "Entire Font": for instance, punctuation shows only punctuation glyphs, while Math Symbols restricts the selection to mathematical symbols.
Rerolling
Rerolling is the process of creating a new account in order to increase your chances of getting a character or weapon you'd like. This can aid in your progress to higher levels or to gain better loot, such as an improved weapon for your current character. Many players roll again until they find the characters they like, regardless of their power. It could be that they like the style or the personality of the character.
When you reroll, you need to make sure that the changes you're making are safe. You should test locally if the patch passes pre-commit and run a core dev test. It is also recommended to upload the patch to an issue using a plain diff (see What's the deal with an interdiff? ).
Rerolls could take days or weeks to complete, based on the luck you have. During item upgrades , you should avoid any optional enemy camps to cut down on time. Additionally you should not re-do any quests that can be completed later in the game. This can save time and energy.
Another important consideration when rerolling is making sure that you are aware of the upgrade system. There are a variety of ways to improve your character's power and appearance. Upgrades, rerolling characters or upgrading weapons are all options. It is also crucial to know the limitations of the system.
Rerolling isn't a required aspect of the game, but it can be helpful to increase your chances of getting a specific character or weapon. It can be used to determine which character is the best or to experiment with different styles of play and builds.
Sets
A set is an object collection that has two common attributes (like the number of eggs in a dozen, or the members of a group). Sets permit operations like union, intersection and distinction.
If you upgrade a set item, it becomes a different version of itself that is superior to the previous one. For armor and weapons this means that it gets a higher base defense value as well as less strength requirements and a lower amount of requirement.
Upgrading is an excellent way to bring popular single-set items up to the same level as their higher-tier set counterparts. Upgrades such as Guillaume's Face Helm to an Elite Spired helmet will increase the defense from 217 to 321 and lower the strength and levels to an acceptable range.
It's important to remember that not all items in an assortment can be upgraded. Some sets, such as the FB Sorc spec's Whistan's Shield or Naj's Puzzler staff, are already Exceptional and Elite in their individual ways and do not require any upgrades. On the other hand, certain items that are BiS and have a lot of use (like Goldwrap) may benefit from being upgraded to improve their performance. For item upgrades of products, it might be worth the extra cost to upp them.
