World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade
The upgrade feature for items allows players to increase the level of equippable weapons or armor. This improves the stats and may also include buffs or rerolls on an attach.
It is important to keep in mind that although you can upgrade magic and common equipment, it is generally not worth the effort. Unique and rare equipment can quickly outperform upgraded magic and common equipment.
Cost
The player has to spend gold to upgrade an item. The cost of upgrading an item is dependent on its current level as well as the upgrade type selected. Upgrades to weapons are generally cheaper than upgrades for armor since weapons have less requirements. The amount of Gold required increases when the item is upgraded to the next level.
The upgraded items will also have enhanced stats that can boost its performance in a variety of ways. This could include boosting its attack strength or critical strike chance. In addition an upgraded item could be able to provide extra buffs to the unit it is equipped with. These upgrades are able to boost the overall strength of a group or individual unit, and could have a significant impact on the gameplay.
Any NPC that upgrades items can be found in the game. In general these NPCs are found in major cities or questing locations. You can also find upgraders of items by visiting dungeons that have high-level bosses. You can also talk to NPCs in the garrisons of your faction.
The World of Warcraft item upgrade system lets players improve the quality of armor, weapons and trinkets. This process is largely identical to that of gear reforging in Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor however, instead of using the currency appropriate to the task players must visit an NPC to upgrade their items to complete the process.
Upgrades can be costly, especially for weapons and armor. Based on the upgrade path each step up in item level can cost several Valorstones and crests. The total cost could be prohibitive for players who don't have the funds or are unwilling to grind them.
Fortunately, the game allows players to play a reroll of an upgraded item by using an additional tool available in the menu of items. This option lets you exchange the upgraded item with a level 1 version of it with a different set of bonus effects. This is a great way to improve the roll of items which are already upgraded. However, it can also be a waste.
Requirements
The process of upgrading items that are equippable like armor, weapons and trinkets is to increase the level of the item. This can boost their power and make them more effective in combat. Players can upgrade their gear by paying the appropriate currency at an NPC that sells upgraders for items. Players should be aware of the fact that certain upgrades require special requirements.
upgrade item boost the stats of the item's base level. Later upgrades provide more significant boosts. For example upgrading a weapon from three to level six will boost the weapon's damage by plus two levels. Additionally, the upgraded item will receive a bonus stat, which is based on the tier it's in. The bonus consists of a guaranteed substat and an undetermined stat that can vary from upgrade to upgrade.
A player can roll an upgraded item using a Reroll Token to exchange the upgrade for a new version. The new item comes with different set of extra bonuses, as well as a lower item level. The rerolled item will also have different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to remember that the rerolled item will not have its original level or even a fraction of its resources.
upgrade item upgraded items are only able to be rerolled if the original item was Unique Epic, Rare, or Rare. Exceptional items can also be rerolled, but the original stats are replaced with an uncapped bonus. Rerolling an item that is Rare item will result in a normal version of the same kind, while rerolling an Epic item will result in an Elite version of the same type.
Upgraded items may have additional adjustments that can boost their performance and boost their stats. These additional modifiers aren't included in the upgrade price. They can be purchased at the Trading Post, or through other players. They can also be earned by fulfilling specific missions in the game.
To upgrade an equipment piece, you need to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine. You will require Power Dices depending on the item. (Dice 6 is dropped by monsters 21+, Giants and Bosses; Dice 12 is dropped by Bosses). Additionally, you will require different amounts of Minerals and Erons.
Time is a factor.
Items upgrades can be used to boost the stats of your gear and ship without having to level them. Upgrades aren't cheap but they can be an effective way to increase your stats and not have to spend a lot of time fighting. It's crucial to know the costs and benefits before making the investment of time or money.
Each upgrade boosts the item's base stat a certain amount and gives the chance to obtain a bonus substat. The extra substat is a random, and can vary from a small increase in one statistic to a much greater boost in another. It is recommended to concentrate on the best-in-slot items first, as they will give you a bigger return on your investment.
You can see the time it takes to complete an upgrade by opening your inventory and selecting an item such as a ship, weapon or accessory. The upgrade window will then display the progress and expected completion time. In some cases you might be able to speed the process by using a Glyph.
Black Lion Salvage or Ascended Salvage sell a high-level salvage kit which allows you to salvage all or part of the upgrade components. This is not the case for legendary equipment or upgrades that can only be recovered using an upgrade extractor or reclaiming with the corresponding Karma dealer.
Rewards
Upgrades to items reward players with a variety of items and currency. In addition, each upgrade can grant a random extra stat bonus. The value of the bonus will vary for each upgrade, and is usually higher for rarer items. The players can perform a Great Vault search to see whether an item can be upgraded before spending tickets. The search can help determine whether the item is in a certain level and if the player could benefit from upgrading to a specific upgrade.
During the process of upgrading the item will gradually advance to its next level, however, it isn't always able to reach the fully upgraded bar. The process will consume Growthstones and Sollant and Sollant, but there's the chance to achieve an item that is fully upgraded in just one cycle of growth. The higher the level an item gains the more stat value will be and the more items can be upgraded.
Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons, or armor to give an attribute bonus or an additional effect, when the equipment is worn. Certain upgrade components can be equipped with additional cosmetic effects. Players can acquire upgrade components by crafting, purchasing from vendors or the Trading Post, looting, or as an incentive. In addition, players can recover upgraded items using an Upgrade Extractor or salvaging them with a salvage kit. Glyphs, which are placed in gathering tools are able to be swapped out without restrictions.
By selecting the item and pressing the green button, which has an arrow that rerolls the player can reroll it to create an upgradeable item. This will alter the layout of the game and let players select up to six items for "recycling". The item that is recycled will be exchanged for a level 1 item of the same type. Recycled items will not keep their level, or the resources used to upgrade them.
An item's maximum upgrade level is determined by its tier and the quality. Rare and Epic items are able to be upgraded to levels up to nine, whereas common items can only be upgraded to level six. Item upgrades are added to the item's base statistics which means that they do not increase after a certain amount.
