The Band Toto Asia
Toto was expanding production facilities overseas, and was doing business in France and Germany, Indonesia, Korea and Taiwan, Thailand and the People's Republic of China. Toto believed that North America as a growth market for Washlet bidet seats and toilets, as opposed to its "base" markets of Japan and China.
Dhaniram Toto was documenting Toto words to ensure the future generations could comprehend them. However, many words were replaced with foreign ones, like dui from Bengali for verandah.
Origins
The company was founded in 1917 and its beginnings mirrored Japan's development. In the beginning, Toto manufactured products to meet the demands for modern, new urban housing. To do this, it used the country's first tunnel kiln to make ceramics in continuous flow. It also pioneered automation to allow production control, which allows for greater efficiency and a more consistent production.
In the latter half of the 1980s, the company began to expand overseas to take advantage of sales and new markets. It created the Cera Trading Company, importing and selling other products from other manufacturers to complement its own lines of sanitary earthenware and plumbing fittings. This strategy helped to increase sales and expand the firm’s global market share.
In the 1990s, Toto began to focus on research and development of water-related appliances. It also improved its distribution system to better serve customers and increase profit. The company implemented a just-in-time approach to managing its supply chain and used the same approach for its sales process. This led to a higher level of satisfaction of customers.
Toto continued to innovate toilet technology. The most recent toilet features a powerful, environmentally-friendly tornado flush. The company uses recycled water in its manufacturing process and has a green buying policy. Toto also manufactures bathtubs, faucets, and hand dryers with greater energy efficiency than standard models.
The first Toto museum opened in 2015. It hosts exhibits on the most iconic products of Toto as well as their evolution, group companies (all of which are made of ceramics), the history of plumbing, and products such as bath units. In another gallery, visitors can see Toto products sold all over. The museum also has a bathroom with a WASHLET and other toilet innovations.
Before the formation of Toto, members of the band did sessions for many musicians. Boz Scaggs' album Silk Degrees featured keyboardist David Paich, guitarists Mike Porcaro & Steve Lukather and drummers Jeff Porcaro & Steve Lukather. They also appeared on records by Steely Don, Seals and Crofts and Sonny and Cher.
Discography
With a name as evocative as Asia, you would expect the group to be prog kings and queens but they're actually a fairly simple rock band. 안전놀이터 추천 started out as a group and released two albums - 1979's self titled debut and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. However, even though the group have a wide range of musical backgrounds their biggest breakthrough was achieved in 1982 with Toto IV.
The album was a major blockbuster, but not without its share of issues. The record companies put Toto under pressure to release a hit single or else they would pull them. Luckily for Toto, they did and they did it with the aid of the smash single "Africa."
Toto's musical mastery is a result of their prior experience since the members had been session musicians for artists such as Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, and Seals and Crofts prior to forming the group. Their sonic trademark has become the standard of '80s music, influencing many contemporary artists.
The album starts out hard with songs like Running Out of Time or Unknown Soldier that show the band's ability to write fantastic AOR tunes that slowly creep into your head. The album also includes some more jazzy, slower tracks such as The Little Things and Chinatown. And the album ends with Great Expectations, a song which combines folk and distorted AOR and sounds totally wrong, but is incredibly effective.
After Toto IV, the band's fortunes began to decline. David Hungate left to concentrate on his solo career and the band was through various drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball was fired from the group in the after he was charged with drug abuse. the band continued as a trio featuring Michael Porcaro and Steve Lukather.
Despite the turbulence, Toto forged ahead and released Isolation however, which was not as successful as IV. However, the group had a successful chart-topping album in 1992 with Kingdom of Desire. The album was the last of Toto's lineup and the debut of Simon Phillips, a new vocalist.
Tours

The band's repertoire is huge and their catalog has amassed over a billion streams on streaming services around the world. The band's iconic music has influenced multiple generations of fans.
Steve Lukather and Joe Williams have formed a strong and vibrant friendship that flourishes professionally on a worldwide basis. In 2018, the duo celebrated 40 Tours Around the Sun with a wildly successful global tour. The album with the same title was ranked #5 on Billboard 200. The new tour by the band includes their best hits and rarely live cuts, as well as some of the songs from Lukather and Williams the catalogs of their respective albums.

Line-up
The album's third, Turn Back, marked a return to the classic sextet format of the previous albums. It was a more powerful, consistent effort that had an edge that was more pronounced than Hydra. The edgier sound of Turn Back was a reflection of the development of the group. Drummer Bobby Kimball's increased virtuosity was reflected by the vocals of Joseph Williams, who had become more confident and mature. Keyboardist David Paich's work also was sharper, more intricate and less cloned on previous efforts.
After touring to promote their album, the band recorded their Amsterdam live concert that was released on Eagle Records as a 2-CD set entitled Falling In Between. A new studio album followed shortly after, and the band embarked on an extensive world tour in support of it. In this time, keyboardist Greg Phillinganes replaced Paich and bassist David Hungate quit the group to spend time with his family.
In 1998, Paich and Lukather started exploring old tapes and demos for a new album featuring songs that were never recorded before. It was released as a double album titled Then & Now in 2001. It was the first album in the band's history not to include a single song with the word "A" in the title, and it also contained one previously not released track, "Kari-Anne".
By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The group's fourth record, Old Is New was not a commercial success and vocalist Williams was suffering from laryngitis that limited his singing ability. Hungate also returned to Nashville and Leland Sklar's drumming was replaced by Shem Von Schroeck.
Downes, Wetton Palmer and Howe, the founding members of Asia were in England in the early part of 2006 to discuss the possibility that the group could be reformed. This lineup, with the exception of Howe (who was busy with Yes at the time) was later referred to as Toto XIV and toured extensively.
In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The group also had the appearance of singer Michael McDonald, and a backing singer named Mabvuto Carpenter.
